The Department of Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, in partnership with Covenant Health, has a new and growing kidney transplant program in West Texas. This is a full-time transplant nephrologist role working with the transplant program director (transplant surgeon) and transplant administrator to ensure high-quality care for our growing patient population in a heavily underserved area with a large catchment and increasing ESRD incidence.
The transplant program has partnered with an Organ Procurement Organization that leads the field with innovation and research to enhance kidney procurement. Rank of Assistant Professor

Professor and applicable salary depend on qualifications and experience.
- Management of all aspects of Transplant Nephrology.
- Pre-transplant candidate evaluation.
- Inpatient consultation.
- Post-transplant outpatient care.
- Living donor candidate evaluation.
- Work collaboratively with surgical colleagues and support staff.
- Assist in the development of the Kidney Transplant Program.
- MD, MBBS, or DO degree.
- Fellowship trained.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Nephrology.
- Applicants must meet Qualifications to be the UNOS designated primary nephrologist.
