Position DescriptionPerforms advanced, specialized work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Works on special projects as assigned. Major / Essential Functions- Scheduling, recording and collecting patient charges, filing and expediting third‑party claims.
- Medical records processing and compliance with billing and privacy requirements.
- Communication with patients, providers, and referral sources.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Coding and reimbursement experience in a physician group, clinic or academic healthcare setting.
- Certification from AHIMA or AAPC.
High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
