Detention Center Medication Aide
Position assists in the overall operation of the Unit Medication Room and distributes patients’ medications from filled prescriptions.
Major/Essential Functions- Delivers and administers patients their ordered and prescribed medications.
- Within the scope of the specific credential of the team member, will support clinical activities in the health facility under the direction of the facility director and nurse management.
- Actively participates in all assigned training related to the Correctional Medication Aide Program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Certification as a pharmacy technician and active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) (or in process of registration) via passing the national certification exam.
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Must complete the assigned training program within 30 days of hire.
Schedule & CompensationSchedule:
Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm (Evening shift)
Pay Grade: $18.00 - $26.00 hourly.
TravelUp to 50%.
