Position: Employee Assistance Counselor

Employee Assistance Counselor

Position Description

Provides counseling services to assigned clients to identify personal and interactive problems, and to achieve effective adjustment.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provide clinical services to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the Program of Assistance for Students (PAS) clients who are self- or supervisory and referred for assistance with personal problems and needs.
  • This position will also provide other employee and student assistance services. (e.g., wellness presentations).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Children.
  • Experience working with Couples.
  • Clinical experience and or specialized training.
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in a mental health field. Currently licensed by the state of Texas to provide mental health counseling services.

Pay Grade

Minimum: $25.00;
Maximum: $29.00 per hour (Hourly).

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website at https://app
