Description

EMT Intermediate

The EMT Intermediate is responsible for the delivery of quality care for ill or injured patients under varied conditions in collaboration with departmental specific personnel. The EMT Intermediate must be highly motivated and able to function using assessment skills and written standards when physician contact is not possible. Must also be able to participate in departmental committees, public relations, and outreach education.

Please note the following important details regarding this position:

  • This is anonsite position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location.
  • Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location:
  • Texas:
    Lubbock
  • Flexibility to work a day, evening or night shift as scheduled
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements.
  • Positions specified as "on call/per diem" refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an "as needed basis" to fill in for staff vacancies

Required Qualifications:

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Upon hire:
    Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate License
    -OR
    - Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License.
  • Upon hire:
    National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
