Overview
The Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met through both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
ResponsibilitiesAssist a licensed practitioner by performing basic patient care and administrative duties under delegation.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of a school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or minimum one year of work experience in a role similar to a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Within 30 days of hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire:
National Medical Assistant Certification - 6 months experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
- 6 months experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).

Pay and CompensationBase pay range: $16.27 - $24.39 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
