Star Care Specialty Health System (Star Care) is seeking a full-time Transportation Driver to join its outstanding team at Silver Star supporting the region's frail and elderly populations.
Responsibilities- Providing transportation services to assigned participants, including assisting participants with travel to/from home to scheduled appointments, community and special events, and other assigned outings.
- Must be able to assist individuals with ADL’s/IADL’s, which includes but is not limited to grooming, bathing, completing meals, and general housekeeping.
This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet customer and program needs outside these hours sometimes to equal a minimum of 40 hours per week.

- Graduation from high school or equivalent with at least one year experience with the frail or elderly population.
- Must be able to travel within Lubbock County using Star Care vehicle and/or using personal vehicle with reimbursement according to Center guidelines with one year of driving experience preferred.
- Must m eet the standardized set of competencies for the specific position description before working independently and be medically cleared of communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact.
- Must be effectively able to communicate, orally, in English, and be able to write legibly, professionally and accurately in English.
- Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, etc.) and personal computer with Microsoft Office products is required.
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must have a Texas driver's license, an excellent driving record, state-required auto liability insurance ,and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
