Pay Grade Maximum
Salary commensurate with related education, experience and/orskills.

• Provides patient care services under direct supervision and responsibility of a staff Physician and/or Medical Director.
• Elicit detailed patient histories
• Performs thorough physical examinations and compiling patients’medical data, including health histories and results of physical examinations.
• Orders diagnostic tests, such as X-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpreting test results for deviations fromnormal.
• Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, suturingand wound care, and incision & drainage of abscesses.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, recordsprogress notes promptly, and assists in provision of continuity ofcare.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding the diagnosis and compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, mental health concerns, and health maintenance.

May render emergency medical service without supervision, pendingthe arrival of a responsible physician, in cases where immediatediagnosis and treatment are necessary to avoid disability ordeath.

Graduation from a Physician Assistant's training program approved by the Council on Allied Health Education Accreditation of the American Medical Association. Current Physician Assistant licensein the State of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas.

Certification as a Physician Assistant as evidenced by passing the examinations given by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. OR Graduation from an accredited school ofnursing as a nurse practitioner from an approved certification program recognized by Texas Board of Nursing. Current R.N. licenseas approved by the Texas Board of Nursing or ability to transfer license to Texas. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved certification program as recognized by Texas Board of Nursing or ability to transfer certification to Texas.
