Lead Specialist - Surgery Position Description
Performs advanced, specialized work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Works on special projects as assigned. May substitute for supervisor during his/her absence.
Pay Grade Minimum: 15.75
Pay Grade Maximum: 18.50

Major/Essential Functions- Provides direct support to departmental Faculty as assigned by the Administrator.
- Maintains leave balances and CME tracking for all Faculty.
- Coordinates with Medical Administrative Secretary for all CME travel and credits.
- Serves as an integral contact for the administrative department, receiving and answering all incoming requests from internal and external HSC contacts.
- Serves as the primary person to manage Qgenda and the call schedules for both hospitals.
- Assists in completing and maintaining the credentialing information for Providers.
- Assists with maintaining departmental inventory annually.
- Creates all purchase orders.
- Processes travel reimbursements and purchasing transactions as needed.
- Assists with coordination and main contact for ATLS trauma courses.
- Previous experience in a Business Office environment.
- Experience processing travel reimbursements preferred.
High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website at https://app
