Visa InformationTTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
Position DescriptionSupports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.
Major/Essential Functions- Program and project management:
Oversee the assigned day-to-day operations and logistics of the program. This includes creating schedules, assisting with recruitment, and evaluating results. - Financial oversight:
Track expenditures, handle invoicing, and process travel. - Communication and reporting:
Serve as the primary liaison between program staff, stakeholders, partners, and other departments. - Administrative support:
Maintain program records, manage data entry, and organize meetings and events. They must ensure all administrative processes run smoothly. - Compliance and policy:
Ensure that the program operates in compliance with internal policies and external regulations. In specialized fields like healthcare or education, this involves a deep knowledge of specific standards.
Special projects assigned by program directors or supervisor.
Required QualificationsHigh school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in Undergraduate medical education clerkships or Graduate medical education residency or fellowship. Bachelors degree in a related field.
