Major/Essential Functions- Provides Care Management Services, refers patients and their families to resources that facilitate continuity of care, health promotion, health maintenance and restoration.
- Identifies and reports data alterations in patient responses to assist in identifying problems and formulating goals/outcomes.
- Prepares, disinfects and operates necessary equipment and instruments for examination, treatments, and procedures.
- Assists with or performs exams and procedures and documents intervention in EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
- Takes and records vital signs and measurements.
- Provides medical assistant support to the OB/Gyn physician as delegated by the physician.
- Assists the RN with ensuring all equipment used for OB/Gyn care is functioning and operational.

Preferred Qualifications- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant(CMA)
- Current BLS provider for CPR.
- Experience working with OB patients in an ambulatory setting.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in Spanish.
- Experience with electronic medical records(EPIC).

- Attends trainings such as immunization updates and health department training for vision and hearing screenings.
- Participates in emergency preparedness drills in department.
- Attends nursing staff meetings.

Required QualificationsEducation:
A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
License/Certification:
Graduation from an approved certified program for assistants in the area of required specialty. Certification by an approved accredited certifying agency in the specialty that particular work will be performed.
Experience:
A minimum of two years directly related experience.
