The Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position is based at a pediatric trauma center. This role involves providing specialized care to obstetric patients, participating in high-risk deliveries, and supporting neonatal and maternal health. The facility requires candidates to have relevant experience and certifications to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details- Location:
The position is located at a pediatric trauma center with a total of 181 beds, serving adolescents and adults. - Schedule:
12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment begins on 10/05/2026 and concludes on 01/04/2027. - Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience, valid state licensure (compact license acceptable), certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate*, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system, high-risk obstetric experience, and familiarity with complex maternal and neonatal procedures. - Patient Ratios: 1:1 during labor and delivery, with coverage expected on weekends (6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule).
- Additional Information:
Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day) and request all RTO (Reason To Operate) or scheduling preferences upfront during submittal. - Other Requirements:
Must include responses to employment history questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities and provide two references covering at least 1 year within the past 3 years.
