Position Summary
Banquet Server plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing professional and efficient food and beverage service during events. Their primary function is to ensure that all guests feel welcomed and attended to, following event specifications and service standards. From setting up banquet spaces to executing meal service, they maintain an acute focus on detail and hospitality. Banquet Servers work collaboratively with kitchen and event staff to ensure timely delivery of courses, adapt to guest needs in real-time, and uphold the ambiance and quality of the event.
They also maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the service and reset spaces for subsequent events. This role pays an hourly rate of $3.00–$5.00 and is tip eligible.
Part‑time role: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. Evergreen role: applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no Final date to receive applications.
Responsibilities- Read and understand Banquet Event Orders.
- Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with standards of service.
- Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met.
- Set up and maintain food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with standards of service.
- Maintain inventory for both food and beverage stations.
- Maintain all event areas and front‑of‑house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
- Participate in setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
- Work independently during slower times.
- Perform safe work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment.
- Have a high level of social contact and often deal with patrons.
- Ensure that work is accurate and complete.
- Maintain a customer‑focused, positive, and professional attitude.
- High School diploma or equivalent GED (preferred). Equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of one year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants (preferred).
- Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and select holidays.
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach out with the body, arms and/or legs.
- Must be punctual with consistent attendance.
- Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies.
