Providence is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer 2 – DDI to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions across a highly available, mission-critical network environment. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable DDI services using both on-premises and cloud-based technologies, while driving automation, enforcing DNS security policies, and resolving complex network challenges.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in DDI platforms, enterprise networking, and Agile collaboration to ensure resilient, efficient, and secure network operations.

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions in a highly available network environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable DDI services using on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
• Drive automation and enforce DNS security policies; resolve complex network challenges.
• Apply expertise in DDI platforms, enterprise networking, and Agile practices to ensure resilient operations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering
• 3 or more years of related experience
• Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
• Experience Scripting with one of Power Shell, Perl, Ansible, VB Script, Python, SQL
• Experience with n-tier solutions
• Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)

• Experience in a Healthcare environment
• 3+ years of experience in network solutions with a strong focus on DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
• Experience with BIND 9, Info Blox, Blue Cat, or comparable DNS platforms
• Experience with Azure and cloud-based DDI (Terraform, DHCP, DNS, and Private DNS)
• Knowledge of DNS security policies, DNS resolution policies, and zone management
• Experience in DHCP configuration, troubleshooting, and scope management
• Proficiency in IP address management (IPAM) and strong troubleshooting skills for DDI-related network issues
• Domain Management experience including registration and hosting
• Experience in network automation using Python, Power Shell, or Bash
• AI experience;
