Junior Cyber Security Analyst

The Junior Cyber  Security Analyst must have knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and be willing to proactively identify and respond to alerted threats. • As directed, monitors, manages, and helps maintain the Mandry SECURE Program as defined to ensure appropriate levels of confidentiality, integrity, availability, safety, privacy, and recovery of information about assets owned, controlled and/or processed by our clients.
• Be familiar and aware of the cybersecurity threat landscape, be a part of the eyes and ears of our security team, and be one of the first to spot/respond to alerted threats.
• Assists as directed to monitor alerts and systems, evaluate “detected security threats” on enterprise-deployed systems such as workstations and servers, and the overall network.
• Assist in the management and containment of information security incidents/events to protect corporate IT assets, intellectual property, regulated data, and the client’s reputation.
• Monitors and reports upon the external threat environment for emerging threats, escalating and reporting per established standards.
• Provides regular reporting on the status of the Mandry SECURE Program to departmental leadership and client contacts through reporting and communication protocols.
• Assurance of programmatic activities, including security risk assessments, gap analysis, remediation task management, and mitigation planning at the client level.
• Document the identification, response, investigation, and remediation of potential breaches and issues surrounding data security.
• Lead deployment of appropriate tools/hardware and software applications for Mandry SECURE clients relative to cybersecurity services and solutions.
• Monitor, analyze, and communicate security alerts and information.
• Vulnerability management activities, including vulnerability analysis and coordinating remediation efforts.
• Supports cybersecurity audits, assessments, data review calls, investigations, incidents, and other duties as required.
• Analyze user-reported security matters: suspicious emails, unusual login activity, etc. Communicate with users to gather details and/or explain the threat.
• Analyze system-detected security alerts. Research and resolve or escalate.
• Analyze system-detected vulnerabilities. Verify the risk and route to the responsible party.
• Perform in-depth analysis, monitoring, research, assessment, and recommendations around identified cyber threats.

• Assist Mandry SECURE leadership in analyzing, reviewing, and evaluating the cybersecurity controls, policies, and procedures of clients.
• Assist Mandry SECURE leadership in delivering cybersecurity assessments and gap analyses of the client’s network infrastructure and systems.
• Oversee, schedule, and manage multiple ongoing client cybersecurity projects (e.g., assessments, program manuals, incident response reports, and other deliverables) for clients.
• Manage processes to create/modify all client reports and deliverables by updating client portals and/or otherwise generating and participating in the delivery of the reporting included with Mandry SECURE solutions.
• Evaluate and assess different security technologies to appropriately expand Mandry SECURE cybersecurity offering.
• Contribute to thought leadership by helping author informational white papers and conducting training sessions with new products/technologies to increase organizational awareness and knowledge.
• Ongoing learning and continually staying abreast of relevant industry updates and changes via conferences, training, and events.
• Develop and maintain security tools, techniques, and procedures to facilitate security testing, vulnerability detection, validation, and mitigation.
