Overview
At CoNetrix, a Senior Network / System Administrator should be an excellent problem solver, have good customer service skills, be willing to work as part of a team, maintain attention to detail, and have a passion for technology. This individual must have extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise networking solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft, Fortinet, Azure, Cisco, VMware, and Citrix technologies is preferred.
Current Microsoft, Fortinet, or Cisco certifications are a plus. As part of the CoNetrix Technology team, you will work with our customers to provide quality and timely installation and support of their IT environments. Typically a Senior Admin will have more than five years of experience. You must be authorized for permanent work in the USA and live in the Lubbock, Texas area.
This job is in our main office in Lubbuck.
- Handle day-to-day IT issues for our customers
- Contribute to various network implementation and upgrade projects
- Perform routine maintenance for customer IT networks
- Work 8-9 hours per day for a 40-45 hour week with paid overtime
- Occasional after-hours work and regional travel is typical
- Walk frequently.
- Talk and listen on phone calls with customers and team members.
- Position yourself as needed to work around and beneath desks and equipment.
- Operate a motor vehicle to provide safe transport to customer business locations.
- Routinely move 15-25 lbs. to a height of 3-4 feet.
- Occasionally move 26-50 lbs. to a height of 3-4 feet.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Tier 2 / 3 Network and User support (knowledge of Microsoft, Fortinet, Cisco, Azure, VMware, Remote Desktop Services, or Citrix is a plus)
- Conscientious, honest, and trustworthy; a person of integrity
- Strong problem-solving mindset and customer-focused approach
- Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills; effective communication for technical problems
- Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit
- Self-starter with ownership of own work and continued learning
- Residence in Lubbock, Texas or surrounding area (remote Network Engineer teleworker positions may be available)
- Current Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware certifications and experience implementing and maintaining IT security solutions such as firewalls and IDS/IPS
