The Infrastructure Delivery team is looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The manager will oversee the implementation and delivery of inbound capacity and equipment, manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment, and coordinate activities to support project and delivery needs.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching and creating documentation.
- Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages.
- Manage the installation network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment.
- Guide, train and educate staff on best practices related to all service owner issues.
- Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large‑size projects.
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
- Provide weekly reports to the data center manager.
- Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, including emergency projects, change management, maintenance window support, and potential off‑hours and on‑call needs.
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Host weekly staff meetings.
- Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements.
- Manage the daily operations for installing and delivering network equipment and related infrastructures; drive low‑voltage structured cabling across the Amazon data center platform.
- Oversee development and growth of the team.
- Track budgets, provide strategic direction, and propose technical solutions.
- Solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.
- Install and deliver network equipment and related infrastructures to improve effectiveness through process innovation.
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent, or experience managing teams.
- Experience creating reports, interpreting metrics, and driving overall insights or analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project).
- Experience in vendor management.
- 3+ years of management/team lead function experience.
- 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience, or experience with Network Protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3 technologies.
- 4+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of computer networking experience, or experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
- Experience developing operational metrics.
- Experience in automation or monitoring frameworks, deployment or development.
- Experience with Six Sigma / Lean analytical techniques.
