Senior Integration Analyst (Student )

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Integration Analyst (Student ) is the primary architect of the University's physical identity and access management systems. The role is responsible for the technical, operational, and security facets of the campus , focusing exclusively on the lifecycle of the identity and its corresponding physical access privileges. This role bridges the gap between the digital identity (SIS/Active Directory) and the physical environment (locks, readers, and controllers).

This role integrates complex software platforms (CBORD) with campus-wide hardware to facilitate secure building access. Serving as a mission-critical resource, the position leads high-level collaborations with IT, Police, and Facilities to align  with institutional safety standards. Key duties include managing the 's technical roadmap, overseeing departmental budgets, and directing personnel training to ensure a seamless, secure experience for the university community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

May include, but not limited to the following:

  • Monitor and maintain system integrations between the University's Ellucian Colleague, Oracle Cloud Human Resources, and the /entry access system to ensure appropriate access for enrolled students, faculty, and staff across Denton, Dallas, and Houston.
  • Administer and sustain the campus s platform (software and hardware) to ensure 24/7 high availability of the identity and entry access network, including coordinating vendor/partner support as needed.
  • Design and execute complex ad hoc reporting and audits using SQL Developer, Toad, Oracle Cloud, and MS Access to evaluate system activity, validate data integrity, and track identity lifecycle events.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex device and system issues across the campus /access network (e.g., readers, panels, controllers), minimizing disruptions and ensuring timely restoration of service.
  • Oversee installation and deployment of electronic access control systems, including automatic door open/close assemblies, intelligent control panels, circuit boards, and card access systems, ensuring compliance with technical and operational standards.
  • Partner with space owners and stakeholders to engineer access plans, including building/door permissions, schedules, and "University Closing" logic to support campus security for special events and university closings.
  • Manage the  ticketing intake and prioritization for building schedule changes, access modifications, and technical issues, ensuring service levels and security needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain audit routines and controls to ensure identity and access management (IAM) functions comply with internal policies and external security requirements.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for campus  policies and IAM tools; design and deliver training and guidance to university personnel and partners to ensure consistent, secure operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and recommendations by evaluating current technologies, researching alternatives, and advising management on solutions to reduce costs and streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Management and project teams to ensure new construction and capital projects meet /access system requirements; review and contribute to project requirements, operating instructions, and instructional resources to ensure procedural continuity.
  • Supervise and lead assigned staff, including an integration analyst and student technical assistants; assign work, provide coaching, and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver results within established timelines and deadlines.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Maintain, image, repair, and replace departmental computer workstations across campus locations.
  • Occasional travel to the Dallas and Houston campuses.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field. Technology and network systems certifications are preferred. Additional job-related experience/and/or education may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

EXPERIENCE

Five years job related work in computing and/or communications, education environment highly preferred. Experience with CBORD software, Mercury products, HID hardware is preferred.
