IT Support Specialist I

The IT Support Specialist I's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of software applications, customized applications, and websites, etc.

• Provide customer service-focused, one-on-one end-user support and problem resolution both in person and over the phone.
• Travel to clinic site locations using a personal vehicle during normal business hours as needed.
• Provides basic hardware and software support and maintenance for the department or unit, including, but not limited to, desktop computers, printers, clinical equipment, and related technology.
• Troubleshoots hardware, software, and network system issues and performs technical duties necessary to support departmental and business operations.
• Install & manage computer-based systems.

• Knowledge and/or experience with computer hardware, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting network-connected devices and basic network troubleshooting.

Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area OR a combination of related education and experience to equal four (4) years.
