For more than 140 years, Johnson Controls has delivered performance where it really matters. Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward.

The North America Demand & Supply Planning Manager serves as the functional leader for demand planning, supply planning, finished goods inventory performance, and third-party product supplier scheduling across the North America region. This role is responsible for meeting customer demand through manufacturing, supplier, and distribution network capabilities while ensuring optimal service levels, inventory performance, and working capital efficiency.

The position leads the end-to-end supply planning process, translating demand signals into executable supply, inventory, and replenishment plans that support business objectives. The role coordinates and optimizes the flow of materials from internal manufacturing facilities and external suppliers through the North American distribution network to meet customer requirements while minimizing supply risk and operational disruptions.

As a key leader within the Supply Chain organization, this leader will drive planning excellence through the development of robust supply planning processes, inventory strategies, capacity planning, and supply network optimization initiatives. This individual will be responsible for establishing planning discipline, improving supply plan attainment, increasing inventory productivity, and enhancing customer delivery performance across the region.

This role will be a key leader in the development and execution of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, owning the Supply Review process and providing supply recommendations that influence key business decisions. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional alignment across Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Product Management, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure supply plans support business growth while effectively managing capacity, inventory investments, and supply constraints.

  • Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies across manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and supplier networks to improve service levels, inventory turns, and working capital performance.
  • Establish and maintain supply planning policies, planning parameters, safety stock methodologies, replenishment strategies, and inventory governance processes.
  • Partner with Procurement and Supplier Management teams to improve supplier reliability, reduce lead-time variability, and strengthen continuity of supply.
