Our client is looking for an experienced Material Manager to support a large-scale data center construction project in Abernathy, Texas.

This isn’t just a warehouse role. We need someone who understands how critical material flow is to keeping a mission-critical construction schedule moving.

What you’ll own:
  • Receiving, inspection, inventory, storage, preservation, and distribution of construction materials and equipment
  • Tracking critical and long-lead equipment including switch gear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, chillers, cable, controls, and mechanical equipment
  • Coordinating deliveries with procurement, project controls, field leadership, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Managing laydown yards, warehouses, staging areas, and material locations
  • Identifying shortages, damaged equipment, vendor discrepancies, and material-related schedule risks before they impact the field
  • Maintaining accurate material, receiving, shortage, damage, and equipment documentation
  • Supporting commissioning, turnover, spare-parts tracking, and final inventory reconciliation
What we’re looking for:
  • 3+ years of material management, construction logistics, inventory control, warehousing, or supply-chain experience
  • Construction experience —
data center, mission-critical, industrial, electrical, mechanical, or large commercial projects strongly preferred
  • Experience coordinating long-lead equipment and deliveries against construction schedules
  • Ability to read drawings, equipment schedules, specifications, POs, bills of material, submittals, and packing lists
  • Strong Excel and material/inventory-management skills
  • Procore, SAP, Oracle, or similar system experience is a plus
  • Forklift and OSHA 10/30 certifications are preferred

If you know how to keep materials organized, vendors accountable, critical equipment protected, and construction crews supplied before they’re asking where their material is — we want to talk to you.
