Field Service Technician

SAIC is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the AC‑130 gunship located at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico
.

• Interface with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems, including performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Conduct on‑site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order. Isolate equipment start‑up malfunctions and take corrective action.
• Make technical presentations and possess strong knowledge of products. Train customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
• Provide technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems in the areas of field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training support to the Air Force squadron at Cannon AFB.
• Act as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, IN for any technical issues related to the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience as an Air Force Mechanic with a focus on engine maintenance and production processes.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance;
  Interim Secret required to start.
• Public speaking skills and ability to deliver presentations to groups.
• Experience with maintenance data collection systems.
• Motivation and ability to research directives, regulations, and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues, and concerns.
• Commitment to customer service and proactive problem solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and ability to learn company software.

• Dexterity in fingers in both hands.
• Ability to pick up and carry 70 lbs. for a distance of 50 feet.
• Able to withstand exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties.

• Candidate will be required to travel up to 25% worldwide.
• Candidate will be working a rotating shift.
