Position Summary
Lead, develop, and coach teams, liaise with associates at all levels, and provide guidance on store operations, merchandising, and technology initiatives. Drive financial performance and sales by managing profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory flow. Deliver exceptional customer service through customer service initiatives and resolve complaints. Implement business solutions, process improvements, and change initiatives. Foster an inclusive workplace, maintain compliance with company policies, and act with integrity.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop teams through teaching, training, and active listening
- Tour stores, provide feedback, and collaborate with associates to improve operations
- Communicate and collaborate across all levels regarding store operations, technology initiatives, and merchandising
- Introduce and lead company change efforts with clear expectations and guidance
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards following the One Best Way OBW service model
- Manage and support customer service initiatives, including community outreach programs
- Resolve customer complaints and issues, develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies
- Provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience
- Drive financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses
- Manage merchandising presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes
- Mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals through action plans
- Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and providing recognition
- Set clear expectations for associates and promote a belonging mindset in the workplace
- Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and company growth potential
- Coordinate and oversee job‑related activities and assignments by maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Identify and communicate goals and objectives, build accountability, and measure progress in achieving results
- Identify and address improvement opportunities and demonstrate adaptability to promote continuous learning
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including the Open Door Policy and corporate ethics standards
- Build high‑performing teams that embrace differences in people, culture, ideas, and experiences
- Communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence associates and stakeholders
- Attract and retain the best talent, empower and develop talent, and recognize others’ contributions and accomplishments
- Act with the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, modeling Walmart values and supporting a regenerative company vision
- Serve customers and members by putting the customer first, adapting to how, where, and when they shop, and applying EDLP/EDLC business models

- Drive continuous improvements by adopting new technologies and skills and supporting others through change
- 2 years of college education OR
- 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR
- 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required
- For facilities that sell only ammunition with state requirements, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required
- Required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings)
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U or Bellevue University
- Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities
