LUB HTST Separator Operator

Leprino is seeking a HTST Seperator Operator. The HTST Clarifier Separator Operator is responsible for the safe operation of Whey and Whey Cream Pasteurizers, Whey Separators, and Whey Clarifiers.

This position pays $26.75 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Weekly pay.

• Operate and maintain Whey and Whey Cream Pasteurizers, Whey Separators, and Whey Clarifiers in accordance with SOPs, GMP, and safe work practices.
• Maintain 5S standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with co‑workers, team leads, and supervisors.
• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and policies to perform work safely.
• Monitor sanitation and housekeeping practices, continually maintaining 5S standards.
• Ensure products meet food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English.
• Ability to evaluate mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective actions as necessary.
• Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders or stairs.
• Basic math skills to perform mathematical functions.
• Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures.
• Ability to maintain a clean work area according to good manufacturing practices.
• Good communication skills to interact with co‑workers and across shifts.

• Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in machine operation and troubleshooting.

The position is physically demanding. The operator must be able to lift moderate weights repeatedly, stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, make pipe connections, lift equipment parts weighing up to 45 lbs, and work in hot, humid, and cold areas. The operator may be required to work overtime and holidays, and must read/write and perform basic arithmetic to understand SOPs, GMP, and safe work practices.
