Job Title: Quality Inspector

Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Position Type: Full-Time M-F 7AM-4PM
Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Quality Inspector to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that both incoming parts and outgoing products meet our quality standards. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting incoming goods (such as fabricated components) for paint quality, dimensional accuracy, physical damage, and completeness (including welds), as well as final inspection of outgoing pump packages.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a strong understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
- Inspect incoming parts and components for:
- Paint quality and consistency
- Conformance to specified dimensions and tolerances
- Damage or defects during shipping or fabrication
- Completeness of welds and other critical features
- Perform batch inspections to verify supplier consistency and product conformity
- Document and report non‑conformances and coordinate with procurement and suppliers for resolution
- Conduct detailed inspections of completed pump packages before shipment
- All required components are installed and properly secured
- Labels, tags, and documentation are included
- Paint and finish meet company and customer standards
- There are no visual or functional defects
- Confirm units are clean, tested (if applicable), and fully prepared for shipment
- Complete and maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and documentation
- Work closely with production, engineering, and shipping teams to resolve issues and improve product quality
- Help maintain calibration and care of inspection tools and equipment
- Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment, preferably in a fabrication or mechanical assembly setting
- Familiarity with paint quality standards and mechanical inspection methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Proficiency using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery
