HIRING MACHINE OPERATORS IN LUBBOCK, TX PAY STARTING AT $22/HR

Schedule
  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm
  • 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 10pm-6am

Our Line Operators are essential to our success. You will be responsible for physically operating an extrusion line to produce the highest attainable quality of pipe in a safe and efficient manner. You will work alongside a team of production workers to ensure our products are produced at the optimal level.

This is what you'll do
  • Read the work order and perform set ups, change overs and adjustments for the order.
  • Monitor extrusion production including product, equipment; perform quality checks on product and maintain the coiling area.
  • Assist to start reels, set up and monitor product for quality and conformity.
  • Monitor operating parameters of product and extrusion equipment to confirm that product materials and quality requirements are being met.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all product dimensions on production reports and accurately track “Lost Production Hours” including the reasons for lost time.
  • Ensure pipe is marked with proper print line as specified in the quality manual.
  • Follow all company‑standard and position‑specific safety requirements, and report any unsafe working conditions or broken equipment.
  • Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
This is what it takes
  • Previous machine operator experience required (at least 6 months to 1 year).
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability to perform simple math and take measurements.
  • Ability to recognize colors.
  • Nice to have: machine operation, extrusion and product specifications.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Understanding of paperwork procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
  • Ability to spend up to 12 hours a shift on foot around hot machinery.
  • Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects, pushing and pulling objects.

For tuition reimbursement you must be a full‑time employee and complete one continuous year of employment. You will receive $5,000 a year for undergraduate studies and $7,500 for graduate studies.

The compensation for this position is typically $22/HR. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short‑ and long‑term incentive compensation.
