HTST Seperator Operator

Leprino is seeking a HTST Seperator Operator. The HTST Clarifier Separator Operator is responsible for the safe operation of Whey and Whey Cream Pasteurizers, Whey Separators and Whey Clarifiers.

Pay: $26.75 per hour with an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6 pm and 6 am. Weekly pay.

• Responsible for the safe operation of Whey and Whey Cream Pasteurizers, Whey Separators and Whey Clarifiers, and their associated equipment and/or processes; ensuring the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products in accordance with SOPs, GMP and safe work practices.
• Maintain 5S standards and participate in and implement continuous improvement.
• Communicate effectively with co‑workers, team leads and supervisors.
• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules and expected standard conduct.
• Monitor sanitation of equipment and good housekeeping practices continually and maintain 5S standards.
• Ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend basic English.
• Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective action as necessary.
• Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders or stairs.
• Basic math skills to perform mathematical functions.
• Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures.
• Ability to maintain a clean work area according to good manufacturing processes.
• Good communication skills to communicate with co‑workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts.

• Two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in machine operation and troubleshooting is preferred.

The HTST Clarifier Separator Operator is a physically demanding position and must be able to lift moderate weights repeatedly throughout the shift, stand/walk, climb steps or ladders multiple times, make pipe connections, and lift equipment parts weighing up to 45 lbs. The position requires working in hot, humid and cold areas and may require overtime and holidays.
