CNC Machinist Level 2

Seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Level 2 in Lubbock, TX. The company specializes in the production and machining of castings, forgings, fabricated components, precision laser-cut parts, and finished machined products.

CNC Machinist Level 2 Details:

  • Temporary position
  • $ 18.00 to $ 22.00 / hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills with minimal supervision.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Load and unload castings, raw materials, and finished parts safely.
  • Use precision measuring tools and gauges to verify tolerances.
  • Perform tool wear offsets and minor program edits.
  • Identify and properly use cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and light maintenance.
  • Follow all manufacturing processes, quality standards, and ISO procedures.
  • Assist with continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Attend production and safety meetings as required.

CNC Machinist Level 2

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining or related manufacturing experience.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
  • Proficiency with FANUC controls required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, feeds, speeds, and tooling applications.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and manufacturing knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math, including fractions, geometry, and measurements.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
