Commissioning Reliability Manager - Data Center

Location:

Lubbock, Texas

Job Type: W2 Contract (1 year initial) 4 year project scope

About the Role:

We're currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Reliability Manager to join a major hyperscale data center project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring critical infrastructure is commissioned, tested, validated and handed over to the highest standards. You'll work closely with construction, commissioning, operations and client teams to drive reliability and operational readiness across the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead commissioning reliability activities across mechanical, electrical and controls systems.
  • Oversee commissioning readiness, startup, testing and system turnover.
  • Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, commissioning agents, vendors and client representatives.
  • Support Integrated Systems Testing (IST), functional testing and final commissioning activities.
  • Review commissioning documentation, test procedures and turnover packages.
  • Identify and resolve commissioning issues to ensure reliable system performance.
  • Drive defect resolution and monitor progress through to closeout.
  • Ensure all systems are delivered in line with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Support operational readiness and successful handover to the end client.
  • Produce regular progress reports and communicate key milestones to project leadership.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Reliability Manager or Commissioning Engineer within the data center or mission critical sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical commissioning processes.
  • Experience supporting startup, turnover and Integrated Systems Testing.
  • Knowledge of critical infrastructure including UPS, generators, switch gear, transformers, BMS, CRAH/CRAC units and chilled water systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work within fast-paced hyperscale environments.
