Requirements
  • Must hold a current, unencumbered LVN license issued in the State of Texas
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred in long-term or developmental care
  • Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Competency in advanced nursing skills (e.g. gastrostomy tubes, enteral feedings, Foley catheters, and tracheostomies)
  • Must meet all immunization requirements as outlined by the agency and facility
  • Must successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (candidate's responsibility)
  • Must successfully complete an FBI fingerprint background check (provided)
  • COVID-19 testing with a negative result is required (testing provided)
  • Completion of all pre-employment training mandated by the agency and facility
  • Must present a valid photo  provide TB documentation at the time of interview
Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Monitor patients’ health and promptly report changes to the supervising RN or physician.
  • Accurately document care activities and complete computer-based data entry (training provided).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., ICF-IDD, facility SOPs).
  • Deliver compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Perform advanced nursing procedures including gastrostomy tubes, enteral feedings, Foley catheters, and tracheostomies.
