Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) provides skilled nursing care, including patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning. This role requires strong communication and collaboration with patients, providers, and the interdisciplinary team. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to specific dress code and parking guidelines.

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the ER.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care and related duties accurately.
- Assist with emergency situations.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Answer unit phone and direct calls accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- TNCC, NIH, ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.

Special Considerations:

- Must adhere to the dress code of solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire.
- Weekend shifts are required (6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks).
- Block schedules are required.
- Expected patient ratio is 1:3.
