ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Lubbock, Texas.

Assignment Duration: 13 week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM). 6 weekend shifts are required in a 6‑week schedule.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal support. The L&D RN participates actively in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities within the unit.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor fetal heart patterns and maternal vital signs.
  • Assist in labor management and delivery processes, including C‑sections.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families before, during, and after delivery.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize external fetal monitoring equipment effectively.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year of L&D nursing experience.
  • Current RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission).
  • Certification in ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP.
  • Experience in recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
