Overview
An MS/Tele Nurse (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nurse) is a registered nurse who provides care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, often requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. On a combined Medical‑Surgical and Telemetry unit, these nurses manage complex patient needs such as post‑operative recovery, chronic illness management, and cardiac conditions. They monitor vital signs and heart rhythms using telemetry equipment, administer medications, perform wound care, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
