Overview
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of consecutive cardiovascular surgery experience and active Epic proficiency.
Requirements- Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
- NBSTSA certification required
- Minimum 2 years of consecutive, recent experience in cardiovascular surgery (cardiothoracic and vascular) required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
- CVOR department focused on cardiothoracic and vascular surgical cases
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 3:00 PM)
- On-call is required for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Weekends are not routinely required
- No floating between units within this assignment
- Epic EMR experience required
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- Solid navy blue scrubs are required for licensed nursing personnel; print tops are not acceptable
- Free surface parking is available on-site
- Former permanent staff of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- RTO is expected to be minimal for this position
- Any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates
