Overview
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center, with Epic proficiency required and weekend availability.
Requirements- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Medical-Surgical unit in a short-term acute care hospital (379 staffed beds, Level II Trauma Center)
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
- Floating between all facilities within the state is expected; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Epic EMR required (hardstop)
- No on-call required
- Solid navy blue scrubs required for licensed nursing personnel; print tops are not acceptable
- Free surface parking is available on-site
- Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- RTO is expected to be minimal for this position
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) including location and dates
