Nurse Practitioner - Larry Combest FQHC
Provides primary care as part of a healthcare team in an ambulatory setting. Offers patient education and counseling, performs physical assessments, and maintains patient charts in the Electronic Health Records (EHR). The role involves teaching activities, occasional travel to outreach clinics, home visits, and participation in specialized educational events outside normal hours.
Responsibilities- Provide primary care as a part of a healthcare team in an ambulatory setting.
- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Conduct patient health and physical assessments.
- Complete all required training by the institution and department deadlines.
- Complete patient charts and enter data into the EHR, meeting department deadlines.
- Attend departmental meetings, such as the monthly provider meeting, and other assigned meetings.
- Attend conferences to complete CEUs as needed.
- Travel to meetings in different locations as required.
- Participate in teaching programs and serve as a preceptor for students as identified by the department.
- MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) and CNP (Certified Nurse Practitioner).
- Experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Experience in providing primary care in an ambulatory setting.
- Experience using electronic health records (EHR).
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Education: Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program.
License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Texas or the ability to transfer your license to Texas. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty from an approved program recognized by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners, and recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advance Practitioner, must be attained prior to employment start date.

Schedule: 4 ten‑hour shifts & occasional Saturday 9 am‑1 pm.
Work Location: Lubbock.
Job Type: Full Time.
Pay Grade: Minimum $95,000 – Maximum $105,000 per month.
