Shift and Location

Shift: 7:00pm – 7:00am (Night), Full time.

Location:

11801 South Fwy, Burleson, TX 76028.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations to gather history and vital signs, identifying physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with SMART goals in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, including oral, intravenous, and intramuscular forms, and perform necessary medical procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy.
• Provide patient and family education about health conditions, treatments, and self‑care practices, delivering tailored materials and follow‑up care plans.
• Advocate for patient health and safety, acting as a liaison between patients and the healthcare system, protecting patient rights and confidentiality, and securing necessary resources.
• Participate in performance improvement activities, engaging in unit‑based quality improvement, evidence‑based practice, and research initiatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including doctors, therapists, social workers, and other providers—to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Supervise Nursing Assistants in basic nursing functions and ensure safe patient ambulation, transfers, and repositioning every two hours.
• Serve as a preceptor as necessary.
• Document and communicate patient data clearly, promptly implementing physician orders and collaborating with the team under HIPAA policy.
• Recognize and respond to emergency codes, infection control, life safety, and fire plans, and provide leadership during these events.
• Use the electronic medical record for patient information retrieval and monitor for new orders and diagnostic results.

• Administers all types of medications correctly per age group for all populations served according to policy.
• Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge of all equipment used on the unit.
• Performs daily rotational task assignment as directed.
• Supervises Nursing Assistants in basic nursing functions (bed making, toileting, oral care, hair and nail care, baths, and comfort measures).
• Demonstrates standard procedures for safe patient ambulation and transfers, checking, turning, and repositioning bed‑fast or incontinent patients every two hours.
• Serves as a preceptor as necessary.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively, gathering data, assessing all populations served, and completing care plans.
• Documents and communicates patient data clearly, initiating and implementing orders promptly and accurately.
• Collaborates on care plan input and establishes priorities based on nursing assessment.
• Recognizes emergency codes, infection control, life safety, and fire plan procedures, and implements measures to meet safety needs.
• Understands the Computerized Physician Order Entry Process and uses the electronic medical record efficiently.
• Provides education to patients and families from admission through discharge, initiating referrals as necessary.
• Fluent in English (read, verbal, and written skills).

• Education:
  
  Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required), Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• Work Experience:
  
  1+ prior hospital/acute care nursing experience (Preferred), Registered Nurse experience (Required).
• Licenses and
  
  Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required), Registered Nurse (RN) (Required), TNCC Certification (Preferred).

• Compensation:
  Pay Range $33.65 – $62.59 per hour.
• Salary increases of up to 20% possible through the Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and advancement criteria.
