Star Care Specialty Health System (Star Care) is the state designated Local Authority for mental health and intellectual disabilities for Lubbock, Lynn, Hockley, Cochran and Crosby Counties and the Local Authority for substance use disorders for 41 counties in the West Texas region. Star Care is also a Texas Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and provides adult inpatient psychiatric services at Sunrise Canyon Hospital.

• Required
  :
  Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the State of Texas by the Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse. No experience required.
• Preferred
  :
  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and currently licensed in the State of Texas by the Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse, plus one (1) year of full-time experience as a practicing registered nurse in a recognized public health agency, hospital or health care facility. Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
