American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

• Level II Trauma Center and Stroke Certified Facility emergency department
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Weekend requirement of 6 weekends per 6-week schedule
• No floating between units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required (hardstop)
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilated patients required
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management required
• Experience with triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and medication administration including IV vasopressors required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and CVA care required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
• Teaching hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Dress code requires solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire for licensed nursing personnel
• Free parking available in designated employee/visitor surface lots
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront during the application process
• First-time travelers will be considered if they hold over 2 years of ED experience
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
