American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact license and at least 2 years of ED experience.
Details- Level II Trauma Center and Stroke Certified Facility emergency department
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Weekend requirement of 6 weekends per 6-week schedule
- No floating between units required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic EMR
- Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required (hardstop)
- Community hospital experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilated patients required
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management required
- Experience with triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and medication administration including IV vasopressors required
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and CVA care required
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
- Teaching hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Dress code requires solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire for licensed nursing personnel
- Free parking available in designated employee/visitor surface lots
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests should be submitted upfront during the application process
- First-time travelers will be considered if they hold over 2 years of ED experience
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
