Position DescriptionPerforms specialized Post Doctoral work in planning, conducting, and supervision of original research ponsible for participating in research projects associated with Ph.D. studies and interpreting results for publication. Work performed under supervision of graduate faculty members with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of the project. May supervise research and student assistants.

Major / Essential Functions- Participate in research associated with extramural funding, design, perform experiments, and interpret results for publication.
- Carry out biomedical research in cancer immunology with emphasis on prostate cancer, focusing on molecular/cellular and preclinical studies characterizing tumor–stromal interactions, tumor initiation, and metastatic dissemination.
- Perform work under supervision of the principal investigator with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of the project.

Preferred Qualifications- PhD in biology, biochemistry, immunology, or molecular biology.
- Experience guiding graduate students and summer students in research.
- Experience in cell biology, immunology, and working with mice.
- Experience conducting research and having been published in peer‑reviewed journals.
- PhD or equivalent doctorate (e.g.,
D.Sc., M.D.) in area related to the project specialization. - Knowledge of modern research practices, methods, resources, and standards.
- Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives, and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
- Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information to determine procedures and solutions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other employees and the public.
- Ability to plan and allocate workload, providing direct training and supervision as needed.
