Position: (USA) Cake Decorator

Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What You’ll Do
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborates with cross‑functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources. Communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service, being flexible to the needs of the business, maintaining in‑stock levels and controlling shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Plans bakery production ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs, follows recipe measurement instructions, works with a variety of products (decorating bags, tips, nozzles) to create flowers and lettering on bakery items, ensures adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance and inventory management; operates, maintains and sanitizes equipment and demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training and product quality, with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drives the bakery area’s performance by ensuring quality and date‑control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events that impact volume (holidays, graduations, family events). Identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions and resolves member issues and concerns.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in the bakery and modeling high‑quality service and products. Interacts with associates to understand roadblocks, assists in training, develops, influences and inspires them to work in a respectful, supportive and team‑oriented style.
  • Compliance & Process: Implements company policies, procedures and the standards of ethics and integrity, using action plans and the Open Door Policy to drive business processes and practices.
  • Priority Management: Completes work assignments using policies, data and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers and partners, identifies priorities, deadlines and expectations, communicates progress, recommends improvement opportunities and adapts to change.
