Responsibilities

  • Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day activities.
  • Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
  • Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Process corporate directives (Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey, information requests, and other communications).
  • Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays.
  • Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts) and loss prevention.
  • Maintain store areas, including a well‑stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, to company standards.
  • Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, and ensure all associates follow them.
  • Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
  • Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the store (bathrooms, floors, trash, neat presentation).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
  • Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments (preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills (required).
  • Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment (required).
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills (required).
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills (required).
