A growing luxury Western lifestyle retailer is seeking a driven General Manager to launch and lead its new Lubbock store.
This position offers the opportunity to establish a new location, build its customer base and create a talented, service-oriented retail team.
The successful candidate will combine hand-on retail leadership with strong commercial judgment, an ownership mindset and a genuine appreciation for craftsmanship and the Western lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the new Lubbock store and its daily operations.
- Recruit, train, coach and retain a high-performing sales and support team.
- Take responsibility for sales, profitability, payroll, inventory and operational standards.
- Deliver a welcoming, personalized and elevated customer experience.
- Build a loyal customer base through clienteling, referrals and community engagement.
- Establish sales expectations and monitor key store and individual performance indicators.
- Use sales reporting and trends to identify opportunities and improve results.
- Maintain excellent merchandising, presentation, cleanliness and product-care standards.
- Develop meaningful relationships and partnerships within the Lubbock community.
- Create a culture of teamwork, accountability and consistent communication.
- Demonstrated retail management experience, preferably within luxury, premium or specialty retail.
- Proven success leading, coaching and developing sales teams.
- Strong understanding of retail sales, payroll, inventory and store operations.
- Experience building customer relationships and driving repeat business.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with personal ownership of results.
- Strong communication, organization and decision-making ability.
- Ability to lead visibly from the sales floor and respond quickly to business needs.
- Ability to work fully on-site, including evenings, weekends, holidays and peak periods.
- Appreciation of Western fashion, craftsmanship or lifestyle products.
- Direct Western retail experience is preferred.
- Base salary of $85,000-$110,000
, depending on experience. - Relocation assistance available.
- Approximately 80% of employee healthcare coverage paid by the employer.
- 10 days of annual paid time off, with potential flexibility.
