We are seeking an Account Executive (AE) to help drive growth in our Public Sector vertical primarily through the sale of professional services engagements to new clients. The AE will, under the guidance of the VP, Public Sector Sales, manage the entirety of complex sales cycles from lead generation, solutioning, proposal development and submission, demonstrations, and deal closure. As part of this process, you will interact with extended sales team members/subject matter experts at OnActuate and our software partners.
While this job is primarily a Hunter/Net New role, there will also be the opportunity to grow business at existing clients. You work closely with prospects to understand their business objectives and guide them toward solutions that will continue to provide value. A successful candidate is comfortable collaborating across multiple teams - sales, delivery, and solutions - to meet and exceed customer needs.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in relationship-building, have excellent organization and communication skills, a keen business sense, and the ability to think creatively. Having the ability to strategically position in the marketplace both our software solutions and OnActuate’s professional services will be key to success. Our team members are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by income while not losing sight of key details.

Where you will create impact:
- Proactively guiding all phases of the sales cycle with a focus on identifying and securing professional services engagements to net new clients.
- Making the most of your daily autonomy to drive business on your terms.
- Balancing what is important against what is urgent when prioritizing sales initiatives.
- Taking ownership of all client-facing content, including formal proposals. Collaborate with our sales enablement team during proposal development while adding your personal touches to make proposals stand out.
- Having a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that work output is high quality and that important deadlines are met.
- Growing our client base through outbound lead generation for new and existing accounts via phone, email, networking, and marketing.
- Helping to grow project sales opportunities for Microsoft business applications (namely, ERP, CRM, and analytics) as well as the Dayforce HR suite solutions.
- Developing, maintaining, and growing a profile list of qualified pipeline opportunities that align to our objectives.
- Working closely with the OnActuate team to leverage marketing, and other sales resources to manage and execute activities to further build your pipeline.
- Articulating our value-add of solutions & services.
- Collaborating with our Microsoft and Dayforce partner teams on planning, development, and meeting our mutual sales and other strategic goals.
- Strengthening relationships with your customer roster to truly understand their business needs.
- Collecting and analyzing survey data to improve the customer experience.
- Attending conferences/summits as a representative of OnActuate.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience selling complex technology solutions to the public sector is strongly preferred.
- Experience selling professional services is a plus.
