Position Overview:
A growing healthcare solutions organization is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (Northeast Region) to drive new business development across the Northeast region. This role is focused on building a strong pipeline, developing strategic relationships, and closing new business within the employee benefits and pharmacy benefits space.
This is a true hunter role, responsible for generating new opportunities through broker relationships, consultant partnerships, and direct employer engagement. The Regional Sales Manager will lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through close while collaborating internally to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop new business opportunities through brokers, consultants, TPAs, and employer groups
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified prospects within the assigned region
- Lead the full sales cycle including outreach, presentations, RFP responses, and closing
- Present solutions to employer groups and key stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and industry partners
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and RFP responses
- Track all sales activity, pipeline, and performance metrics within CRM systems
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Provide regular pipeline updates and forecasting to leadership
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics
- Fully remote role within the Northeast region
- Travel required based on client meetings, presentations, and industry events
- Travel may vary depending on sales cycle activity
- Three to five years of experience in employee benefits sales or related healthcare sales
- Experience in PBM or pharmacy benefits industry preferred
- Proven ability to generate new business and manage a full sales cycle
- Strong relationship-building and presentation skills
- Experience working with brokers, consultants, or employer groups preferred
- Ability to work independently in a remote, results-driven environment
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Existing relationships within the Northeast benefits or broker community
- Experience responding to and managing RFP processes
- Strong understanding of healthcare and benefits landscape
