The Sales Associate role at Cricket Wireless in Lubbock, TX is a full-time, on-site position focused on delivering a positive in-store experience for every customer. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, understanding their wireless needs, and recommending plans, devices, and accessories that fit their preferences and budgets. The Sales Associate will process sales and returns, handle payments, and ensure accurate documentation in store systems.
The role also includes maintaining store cleanliness and merchandising standards, promoting current offers, and supporting store performance goals. Sales Associates collaborate with team members, participate in training, and represent Cricket’s values of affordability, reliability, and customer care.
- Candidates should possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and respond to customer needs in a professional manner.
- Candidates should possess sales and retail skills, such as basic selling techniques, upselling and cross-selling, and experience working with point-of-sale systems.
- Candidates should possess communication and teamwork skills, including clear verbal communication, basic written communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a store environment.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and organizational skills, such as handling customer issues, managing multiple tasks, and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience in wireless, telecom, or technology retail is beneficial, along with familiarity with mobile devices and service plans.
- High school diploma or equivalent is typically required; additional education or certifications in business, sales, or related fields are a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to stand for extended periods in a retail environment.
