Neuroscience Account Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate frequently with the District Sales Manager on day‑to‑day sales and product promotion activities.
- Analyze the local market and develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, disease states, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time) in the territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete required monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain full compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry‑standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
- Additional ad‑hoc projects as needed.
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Preferred: 3+ years pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Candidates not meeting work experience may be considered for an Associate role.
- Preferred: atypical anti‑psychotic and/or orphan drug experience.
- Preferred specialty: psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Preferred: reimbursement experience.
- Preferred: relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory (or within 24 months).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Self‑starter; goal/results driven; “hunter” mentality.
- Strong territory relationships/knowledge preferred.
- Ability to travel (may include overnights); out‑of‑territory travel to HQs, training, and meetings; meetings may occur outside normal hours.
- Must reside within territory geography.

- Navigate complex markets/organizations; strong organizational work ethic.
- Effective selling and presentation skills; manage multiple priorities; sound independent decision-making.
- Read situations quickly and adjust for roadblocks.
- Customer‑focused, self‑motivated, computer proficient.
- Operate motor vehicle as required; may occasionally lift/move up to 15 lbs.
