Heavy Equipment Operator – ABCI

ABCI, a local mid-sized civil construction company, is seeking a full-time, experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy construction equipment
, primarily loaders
, excavators and rollers
, in support of various civil construction projects.

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment
• Proven record of safe operation of loaders, excavators, rollers and related machinery
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Effective communication skills (speech, vision, hearing/listening)
• Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, sitting, walking, and climbing
• Willingness to work overtime as needed based on weather and project demands

• Operate heavy equipment of various types, sizes, and weights safely and efficiently
• Follow all company policies
  , safety procedures, and OSHA regulations at all times
• Immediately report equipment or job-site issues to the Foreman, Superintendent.
• Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections
  , documenting results per company requirements
• Conduct minor maintenance and servicing of equipment; report major mechanical issues to a supervisor
• Clean equipment regularly and maintain it in good working condition
• Perform all job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and equipment operational requirements
• Carry out other duties as assigned or required by project needs
