We are interviewing for a General Maintenance Worker in the Lubbock, Texas area.
Job duties will include but may not be limited to the following:
- Performs repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment including pumps, blowers, and motors.
- Maintains pumps, electrical controls and related components, facilities and related equipment, and interior and exterior lighting.
- Performs work orders on facility’s buildings and grounds as required.
- Makes equipment adjustments, and reports any serious equipment problems as PM’s in the M plus computer system.
- Maintains computerized and manual records and prepares reports pertaining to the operation of the daily work orders, and makes changes as required to meet operating requirements.
- Identifies, schedules and coordinates the work of outside maintenance contractors in support of the facility(s) as needed.
- Follows Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies. Wear and work in proper personal protective equipment.
- Assists with operational tasks in conjunction with operation or as directed by supervisor.
- Performs other related functions assigned, as they become apparent, or as management assigns.
- Knowledge of mechanical operations, maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to equipment in assigned work area.
- Knowledge of proper operation of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations. OSHA 10.
- Effectively and safely operates hand tools, pneumatic tools, air compressors and other small equipment related to the maintenance trades.
- Hands‑on experience in light duty electrical power systems (240 V/ single and three phase) and instrumentation calibration and use.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Additional trade specific courses preferred.
- Five (5) years’ experience in the maintenance field.
- Must possess a valid, active state driver’s license.
- Must pass drug screening and background checks.
- Employee may be required to work indoor or outdoor work during seasonal heat and cold or other adverse weather conditions. Employee may be required to work where they may be regularly exposed to fumes, dust, and odors.
- Some high noise levels from operations of equipment.
- Must be physically able to complete necessary tasks as related to the maintenance.
- May have to work after normal work hours for on-call assignments.
- $17.78 per hour base pay PLUS.
- $4.93 per hour (up to 40 hours) Health and Welfare dollars (these monies are used to pay for your benefits; any remaining money is applied directly to your paycheck) (this is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position).
