Excavator Operator

Overview

ABCI
, a local mid‑sized heavy civil construction company, has an immediate opening for a full‑time experienced Excavator Operator. The Excavator Operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy construction equipment.

• 5+ years of experience in Heavy Equipment Operation
• Safe operation of Excavator
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug test
• Some overtime may be required depending on weather & project status

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
• Perform daily pre‑and‑post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Clean equipment on a regular basis.
• Perform job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and equipment requirements (lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, sitting, walking, and climbing).
• Effective communication skills (speech, vision, hearing/listening).
• Perform other duties as required, directed, or as the situation dictates.
